We love Winter on the Mornington Peninsula, we love Summer, Spring and Autumn too... but despite the colder weather there's always plenty of great things to do in our local area. Here's our top picks of what's on this weekend...
World Bathing Day | Saturday 22 June @ Peninsula Hot Springs 30 Springs Lane, Fingal
To celebrate World Bathing Day on June 22, Peninsula Hot Springs has an incredible line-up of experiences and activities to take you an immersive journey around the world.
There'll be sunrise and sunset hilltop didgeridoo ceremonies with Lionel Lauch; Moroccan, Turkish and Japanese bathing workshops; mind-body classes; sound bathing; live music and more.
It's all to help raise awareness for the Bathe the World Foundation - an initiative that seeks to bring attention to the billions of people worldwide who don't have access to clean water for bathing. For more info on the foundation, head to bathetheworld.org/
Sorrento Makers Market | Saturday 22 June 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM @ Ocean Beach Rd, Sorrento
Sorrento Makers Market takes place in the heart of Sorrento Village, with makers and creators displaying their wares along the footpaths of Ocean Beach Rd
Sorrento Makers Market is part of the popular Craft Markets Australia group of home made, home grown markets taking place throughout the Mornington Peninsula and Victoria, with great quality products and produce to complement what is already an outstanding shopping strip with original interiors, gifts and fashion stores.
Dromana Community Market | Saturday 22 June 8AM to 1:30PM @ Dromana Community Park, 359B Point Nepean Road, Dromana
The Dromana Community Market aims to provide growers, producers and merchants a unique outlet to sell direct to the public while promoting the benefits of fresh and nutritional foods to consumers; and creating an atmosphere in which to appreciate the culture and character of the Mornington Peninsula.
The market will showcase the local flavour of Dromana while offering local residents and visitors a family friendly experience as they purchase fresh produce and sessional produce, as well as locally crafted products. Funds raised by the Market will support Local Community Projects.
