We've had some mixed weather across the Peninsula the past few days, hopefully the weather holds out for the weekend as it's another busy one in the local area! I know it's still only November but I'm excited for the Xmas lights festival this Saturday, it's a great event we take the kids to each year. Here's our picks of all things fun this weekend... 

Frankston's Christmas Festival of Lights | Saturday 24th November From 5PM

 

Celebrating 21 years! Gather with friends and family around the stunning 30 metre, 100+ year old Norfolk Pine for the Christmas tree lighting spectacular that has become a Frankston Christmas tradition, followed by a dazzling fireworks display to welcome in the festive season. Revel in the Christmas cheer as the celebrations fill Davey and Young Street, Beauty Park, the Frankston Arts Centre and Frankston Library with an impressive array of family friendly performances, children's entertainment and activities, shopping and dining.
Highlights include:
* Meet Santa Claus at Santa's house
* Live music on the Entertainment Stage
* Start your Christmas shopping at the Market Place
* Enjoy festival dining on Gingerbread Lane
* Tree lighting ceremony and fireworks
Event is free with a cost for rides, food and amusements.

Peninsula Studio Trail - Open weekend | 24th & 25th November 


The Peninsula Studio Trail annual open studio event is on again.
Artists will be opening their studios across the Mornington Peninsula over two consecutive weekends.


The Trail is a journey into the studios of a diverse and gifted group of artists, where you have the unique opportunity to see demonstrations and the purchase artwork and hand crafted items directly from the artists.


Peninsula Studio was established in 2009 as an artists' initiative. The artists specialise in a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and printmaking.
