With the AFL Finals series already underway, it means we're well and truly into Spring! What a fantastic time of year on the Mornington Peninsula, if you're out and about this weekend, here are our top picks of what's on... 

GOING THE WHOLE HOG. BARBECUE AND BEER LAUNCH | Mornington Peninsula Brewers Fest! 

 

Red Hill Brewery, Mr Banks, St Andrews Beach Brewery, Hickonbotham of Dromana HIX, Mornington Peninsula Brewery and Jetty Road Brewery all have special events on this weekend, September 8 & 9. 

 

Each of the above craft breweries are celebrating the release of their new collaborative brew that they've come together to concoct. The new limited edition Nepean Nectar Red XPA. 

 

Plenty of great brews on offer, special barbeque food menus and live music at some venues. Check out each brewery for details and opening times. 

2018 National Works on Paper Final Weekend

@ Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery Civic Reserve, Dunns Rd Mornington 

 

Exhibition runs until 5PM on Sunday the 9th of September 2018.  

 

Sixty-three finalists from around Australia have been shortlisted from over 1000 entries for the National Works on Paper acquisition and award (total prize money $50,000). The prize, the most prestigious acquisitive prize and exhibition of its type in Australia, showcases works being created by artists working in the field of drawing, printmaking, digital prints and paper sculpture. 

 

5-Course Beef and Shiraz Evening Saturday 8th September From 6:30PM @ Barmah Park Restaurant and Cellar Door, 945 Moorooduc Hwy, Moorooduc

 

Barmah Park introduces to you their Beef and Shiraz evening. Brilliant chef Leo Howard will be putting together a 5 course menu that will satisfy the inner carnivore in you.

The concept; an experimental approach to nose to tail cuts of beef all perfectly paired with a Shiraz. The menu will feature premium, secondary and offal cuts of beef sourced from the best Victorian beef producers.
