The Art of Espalier - Basics to Advanced | Saturday 25th August 10.00am to 1.00pm @ Heronswood House and Gardens 105 Latrobe Parade, Dromana

Train fruit trees to grow and crop in a small space by learning the ancient art of espalier.

Trees are trained to a flat plane which can be helpful to insulate a wall, cover a fence, or form an aesthetic hedge or screen to create a private space. This style of pruning focuses the trees development on flower and fruit production rather than bulk, resulting in improved yields over a small space, and the compact growth habit also allows for easy produce protection and then subsequent harvest.
