It's not all about the School Holidays on the Mornington Peninsula at the moment! There are some fantastic markets on in the local area as well!!! Though, if you are looking for something fun to do with the kids these School Holidays we highly recommend the fantastic Junior Ranger activities run by Parks Victoria.

Junior Ranger School Holiday Program- Coolart Homestead & Wetlands

Bring the children to Coolart Homestead and Wetlands these school holidays for some fun filled educational activities that are sure to interest everyone. Activities on various days and times include: * Flora Explorer - Learn how to identify common native plants and discover some of the 200 species found at Coolart. * Bird Watching - What makes a bird? How do you identify them? Bring along your binoculars and join the rangers to find some feathered friends and learn about our amazing coastal and wetland birds. * Wildlife Detective - Become a Wildlife Detective by learning the secrets of the bush. All Junior Ranger activities are free and are suitable for children 6 - 12 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Bookings essential.

Junior Ranger Program - Winter Wonder Walks - Cape Schanck

Have you ever wondered where an area or track got its name from? Were there shipwrecks before the lighthouse was built and did bushrangers really row all the way from Tasmania to land in the bay? Join a Ranger on a 2km guided walk along the Cape Schanck loop track and lighthouse precinct and uncover these stories and many more. Requires walking on uneven surfaces, hills and steps are not suitable for prams. Please wear suitable walking shoes and clothing, bring water and snacks. Walks will proceed in most conditions.

Dolphin Discovery | Friday 6th of July 2018 @ Searoad Ferries, The Esplanade, Sorrento Pier, Sorrento

Sail aboard Searoad Ferries this July school holidays for a fun and interactive workshop learning all about Port Phillips unique dolphins and other amazing marine life, including seals & whales! Play games, see dolphin skulls and meet Bella Burrunan the dolphin. Workshop free with the purchase of a ferry ticket. Contact Searoad Ferries for details.

Sorrento Makers Market | From 10am until 3pm on Saturday 7th July

Set in the heart of Sorrento, on Ocean Beach Road this European boutique market experience will see the main street sprinkled with handpicked original artisans, gourmet producers and wine makers. Take a leisurely stroll through the village, stopping along the way to sample fine foods, meet the makers behind the handcrafted products and take in the market atmosphere.

Mornington Racecourse Market

Sunday 8th July 2018: 9am to 2pm

The market swings into action at the picturesque Mornington Racecourse. Highlights include a huge range of amazing food to sample, cute, unique kids products, plants and sculptures to brighten up the garden as well as timeless market favourites - fresh produce, coffee, woodwork, skincare, cards and prints. With over 300 stalls to explore, set aside a few hours to take it all in.
